The lake District has two Forest Parks at Grizedale in South Cumbria and at Whinlatter in North Cumbria. The Forest Parks are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year Each Forest Park has a Visitor Centre at its heart with a shop, tearoom, toilets, disabled facilities, car parks and information points. These are open from mid January through until Christmas annually, usually 7 days a week from around 10am until 5pm.
